I am getting gradle error
🧵 4
hello
n
would you care to share your error? Or do you just want emotional support?
m
no I am getting this error - Build file 'C:\Users\mande\AppData\Local\Temp\Corona Labs\CLtmpa10004\template\app\build.gradle.kts' line: 574
I am using solar2d
?what
n
How do you suppose we should know what line 574 in your build file is? and what the actual error related to that line is?
👀 1
also, how is solar2d relevant to your error? and what is solar2d?
m
see I am trying o build apk
solar2d is for making android apps using lua script
n
you still haven't shared anything relevant for people to help you
m
?? means
this is the error
n
and it points to a file we have no knowledge about...
m
n
that's still not the file in error 🤷
m
so can you pls tell me to how can I fix this
n
no, I can't.. as I told you, you haven't shown anything that would help us help you
m
this is the error 🙂
I showed you
hey tell me how to update gradle?
s
@Mandy what’s in that file on line 574?
m
idk
I am making an app using solar2d
see this
s
Look, in order to get help you have to be willing to provide information we’re asking for. We can’t do telepathic debugging and nobody here really knows what this solar2d thing is, since you’re on a Gradle forum, not on a solar2d one. Though maybe you could try asking there?
m
I think I have to download older version of gradle I guess?
s
I don’t think so, that’s just a warning, not an error
If you want to fix the error, find out what’s on that line in that file.
m
there is no folder of that name
s
Try running the build again and look again in the folder it prints out. The tool you’re using is putting the build script into a temporary folder and it probably gets cleaned up.
n
I think you'll be better of asking for help in the solar2d community (on their homepage they list a discord and a community forum). From the way you respond to the questions we're asking here, it seems like gradle is an implementation detail of that framework, so they'll be better suited to provide you with support.

m
see the folder gets delete automaticaly after build error
s
I second Niels’ suggestion to ask in the solar2d community, they should be better equipped to help.
