I'm not even sure its exactly a 8.7 issue.

I would say no. I guess if you clean caches without restarting daemon, this can happen also with previous versions :thinking_face:

I checked and the not restarting the daemon bit seems the culprit. Won't create a ticket as this seems sort of expected behaviour. Also this won't stop us adopting 8.7.

BTH 8.7 looks good to us

Btw, I was able to reproduce it. We will investigate it a bit to see if there is any low hanging fruit to improve the situation
