is not a task, it is just a "do sync this" call that is always executed. If you do this in a task implementation, you need to properly define task inputs and outputs so that the task can be up-to-date. If you do this at configuration time in your plugin, you should consider not doing this, but instead doing this as some task that can then be up-to-date.
