"Java heap space" suggests you are getting an `OutOfMemoryError`, you would see that if you look at `--stacktrace` or `--scan`. So it seems your daemon process simply needs more heap than the default.

initially, it was set to
```org.gradle.jvmargs=-Xmx2048m -XX:MaxMetaspaceSize=512m ```
but I commented it out as it was throwing some other error i.e.
```error occurred during initialization of VM
could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap```


Well, that then means that your RAM in the operating system is exhausted

any other alternative that comes in your mind?

Obviously your build needs that much heap, and if your computer does not have enough RAM to satisfy that need, there is not much you can do. Buy more RAM, increase the Swap space, or free some RAM by closing other RAM-demanding processes.
