You miss the closing curly brace at the end of the file. I can highly recommend using Kotlin DSL instead of Groovy DSL. By now it is the default DSL, you immediately get type-safe build scripts, actually helpful error messages if you mess up the syntax, and amazingly better IDE support if you use a good IDE like IntelliJ IDEA.

Sorry i had accidently missed that line when copy pasting the contents, the last closing bracket is indeed there and i have edited the original message to show that now
This file also seems to be autogenerated by unity, since if i delete the file and then try to build again, it shows back up.

Hm, bad, without that line I got the same error, with the line not. 😄
Can you show a full MCVE?
j
I'm not completely sure on exactly how to do much of that since its a Unity project. Is there any specific information you think would be helpful?
v
I have no idea about Unity
Actually, as you say it is not you generating that project, but it is generated for you, you are most probably wrong here anyway.
Here is more for getting help when you have problems with writing a Gradle build yourself.
If a tool you use generates a Gradle build for you and that build is not working properly, you should probably ask the maintainer of that tool for help or bug-fix

Sounds good, thanks for the help thusfar anyways. I appreciate it
