What do you mean with "importing from test to testFixtures"?
And where exactly do you get the error?
And what is the full error exactly?
Can you share a build `--scan` or at least the `--stracktrace` output?

So did you mean that you just move the `test` classes to the `testFixtures` source set and now wonder why it does not compile?
If so, you need to declare the dependencies that the test fixtures use like usual too of course.
`test` and `testFixtures` do not by default share the same dependencies as that in most cases is not what you want.

I have not moved entire code base from src/test to src/testFixtures. only one package moved. Also I am trying to import only classes from src/test to src/testFixtures

Also I have declare my dependancies with `testFixturesApi`

test classes can use test fixtures classes, not the other way around.

Unless you majorly reconfigure the defaults of course.

But that's then not really what test fixtures are meant for.

Exactly.
In `testFixtures` you have things that you want to use in `test` but also in other projects or in consumer projects.
`test` then can use the things in `testFixtures` and downstream projects can also depend on the  `testFixtures` variant in their tests.
