buildscript.dependencies: This Is The Way. 

But with a constraint with strict version, not a dependency. Just like for normal dependencies.

And if you don't like `buildscript { ... }`, you could have a `buildSrc` dependency on the transitive thing as `buildSrc` classpath is in a parent classloader so wins in class selection

Or you could have a plugin in an included build that introduces the constraint with the strict version you otherwise would have in `buildscript { ... }`
