Set the javaexec's executable to a javaLauncher's executablePath?

Alternatively, change that doLast to a finalization task and configure the javaLauncher of that JavaExec task (that would likely require setting dependsOn or before on other task(s) to ensure proper ordering of the tasks though)

Oh I haven't seen that I could configure the executable. Will try that. I am doing JPA static weaving within that javaexec block and it should be part of the compileJava block. Otherwise it breaks Gradle's UP-TO-DATE check as weaving will override the original output of compileJava

Thanks, that did the trick. I feel like everything should inherit by default what is configured in `java { toolchain { } }`.
