While you probably shouldn't do it, you can do it. At least if you switch to Kotlin DSL where the

plugins

block is slightly less restricted than in Groovy DSL. That will also make you use the now default DSL, give you type-safe build scripts, actually helpful error messages if you mess up the syntax and an amazingly better IDE support if you use a proper IDE like IntelliJ IDEA. 🙂
