You would need to check how those are used. If they are used with a detached configuration I don't think you have any chance. If they are used with a normal configuration, you can declare your platform on that configuration.

Thanks, I think that pointed me in the right direction. Another place where those platform dependencies are not used is in dependency resolution rules such as this:
Copy code
configurations.all {
    resolutionStrategy { cacheChangingModulesFor(0, TimeUnit.SECONDS) }
    resolutionStrategy.eachDependency {
      when {
        requested.group == "org.jooq" -> {
          useTarget("org.jooq.pro:${requested.name}:3.18.6")
        }
      }
    }
  }
The build fails if the
useTarget
call omits the version number even though the version is set in the platform. Do you have any advice for that?
v
The platform just sets constraints, that are used during resolution, as are such resolution rules. I guess if you don't want to specify a version at that rule, just use
requested.version
?
w
Would the platform override that version if needed?
I suppose it doesn't really matter, the requested version should have been the one in the platform anyway. Thanks.
