If annotation processor is not incremental, then it's probably worth it, since otherwise you pay time for full recompilation on every change.
If annotation processor is incremental, it's probably more improtant that your projects (modules) don't get too big, e.g. for build times it's better to have few projects with 500 classes than 1 project with 5 thousand classes
