If you have additional information either edit the original message or post to its thread. Regarding the problem, what you "downgraded" is not Gradle, but the Android Gradle plugin. Besides that 8.0.2 is the current version of it, so downgrading to 8.0.2 seems impossible unless you used a pre-release. What your error message complains about is an IntelliJ / Android Studio specific init script, so try to run your build from command line and see whether you get problems there.
