The advice is for command-line usage, I have no idea how to do it with VSC. If I want a fancy editor, I use jEdit, if I want an IDE I use a real IDE. 🙂

yeah esp with vscode...it's just not an IDE, and it shows that. that and the jvm ecosystem support is much worse right now
