If your build is compatible with it, you don't mind that the feature is experimental, and you do not build on ephemeral agents or care to save and restore it, why not?

I believe it’s promoted to stable in 8.1 RC3, so as soon as the next release hits (matter of weeks?) this should not be an issue any more!

Yes, this is the main reason for my question, we use ephemeral agents in our env, so before we spike it ourself, we want to know if anybody have tried it and got a good result.
