I sold stock in August of 2025 and I am pretty sure that I paid taxes when I sold. But I can't find that on my statement from my broker. And my tax software wants to charge me taxes for the gains. Where would I find that I paid the taxes at selling?

In fidelity there is a “Year to date” tax activity report that shows all events related to tax. But if you didn’t explictely ask to withhold, they wouldn’t

You should be on the lookout for the double taxation mistakes people make with RSUs: https://tidemarkfp.com/rsu-double-tax/. Your employer withholds when the RSUs are vested on your W2 but the cost basis is often not correctly shown

Normally there is no taxes when you sell. What makes you think there was?
