I feel that the fact that YNAB is importing transactions on a daily basis (average) and not instantly is a huge let down. The ultimate goal with YNAB is that making spending decisions should be based on available money in your YNAB plans categories and not account balances. If YNAB is not updated with instant data it’s just not reliable for spending decisions. Thoughts?
I remember when using EveryDollar a while ago that transactions was imported almost instantly, I think they are using Finicity by master card, and YNAB is using plaid or MX.

I agree and I tell my clients that don't have a huge buffer to type in the transactions manually.
It's still very reliable unless you're on a knife's edge

That’s what I’m doing, but in busy occasions where you have no time to enter, YNAB is getting a little bit unreliable
I guess the data aggregators are charging per data pull?
I believe they should have webhooks these days

Instant syncing is mostly gone nowadays. Everyone has introduced rate limiting. Some banks are once per day, some are once per six hours, etc.

I often do put in manual transactions, but often it doesn't matchup
