My YNAB Ready to Assign is way higher than my bank account. Is there a quick way to figure out what's going on other than wading thru dozens of transactions?

Here’s a simple way to figure out why your YNAB Ready to Assign is higher than your bank account, without looking at every single transaction: 1. Reconcile Your Account In YNAB, there’s a button called “Reconcile” in your account register. Click it. This lets you compare your YNAB balance with your bank balance. 2. Check for Differences YNAB will ask you what your bank says your balance is. Type that number in. If the numbers don’t match, YNAB will show you how much is missing or extra. 3. Look for Uncleared or Pending Transactions Sometimes, there are transactions in YNAB that haven’t cleared at the bank yet (like checks or card payments still processing). These can make your YNAB balance look bigger than your real bank balance. 4. Check for Mistakes If you see a big difference, it might be because of a duplicate transaction, a missing transaction, or something entered wrong (like typing $100 instead of $10). 5. Let YNAB Help You Find It When you reconcile, YNAB will help you spot which transactions are causing the problem. You don’t have to look at every single one—just focus on the ones that are uncleared or seem off. *Takeaway:*\ Use the Reconcile button first! It’s like a shortcut that helps you find where things don’t match, so you don’t have to check every transaction by hand. If you’re new to this, try reconciling daily or weekly so it’s easier to spot problems quickly. If you need more help, check out YNAB’s reconciliation guide: YNAB Budget Reconciliation

The bank and CC are both reconciled.

I spent a while with this issue. I don't remember the exact solution, but if you ask the YNAB AI bot, it will provide you with articles that will point you in the right direction. It probably has less to do with your transactions, if it's all reconciled, and more to do with the allocations in your "plan"

Maybe look for negative categories? Maybe ready to assign contains money from negative categories which needs to be assigned back

I had this in the past, but it could be other things as well
