How much do people budget for daycamp? What's the typical cost per kid for K-5 grades? In lakewood if it matters but let's assume a typical day camp, nothing exotic or super fancy. My oldest is still pre-school aged, so I have no idea what a typical summer costs once they get past daycare

Let’s break this down in a simple way: 1. What is day camp? Day camp is a place kids go during the summer. They play, do activities, and have fun while parents are at work. 2. How much does it cost in Lakewood for K-5 kids? • For a regular (not fancy) day camp in Lakewood, most families pay about $200 to $300 per week for each child. • Camps usually run for about 6 to 8 weeks in the summer. • That means, for the whole summer, you might pay between $1,200 and $2,400 for one child. 3. What do families usually budget? • Many families plan for about $1,500 to $2,000 per child for the summer. • Some camps might be a little less, and some a little more, but this is a good average for a typical camp. 4. What should you remember? • If you have more than one child, you can multiply the cost by the number of kids. • Some camps give discounts for more than one child from the same family. • There might be extra costs for trips or special activities, but most of the time, the main fee covers everything. Takeaway: If you want to plan ahead, it’s smart to save about $2,000 for each child for summer day camp in Lakewood. This will help you be ready when your kids are old enough for camp! Let me know if you want tips on how to save for camp or find more affordable options.

Wow, that was cool. ^ Does Albus pull these numbers from the community budget sharing?
Anyone able to verify 👍 or 👎 those numbers?

backyard camp or "real" camp? boys or girls? Transportation or without? It goes up each year and each grade. Here's a few random sample camps https://rlb.campapplications.com/ https://campchevranj.com/camp-information/ https://www.campazamrah.com/
Backyard camps are less.. I'm paying about $1000 for the full summer. Boys have yeshiva camp first half (maybe $300?) once they are in school and daycamp only second half. There's also some time before and after and in between camp that you may or may not choose to pay for an in between camp. An official camp would be tax deductible/ FSA for childcare, backyard camp depends on the morahs willingness.

(daycamps have risen above and beyond inflation in the past few years. Hopefully they will stabilize but you really can't budget what it will be in 5 years)
