Although, it seems like (almost) everyone here uses Ynab. I personally tried it for one year and didn't like it that much. I'm using Every Dollar now which I'm happy with. Has anyone used the Monarch app? (Looks like a nice budgeting, net worth tracking app)
r
curious what you didn't like about YNAB?
v
I just didn't connect with the budgeting method, found it sometimes too confusing
r
"The easy-to-use zero-based budgeting app" YNAB is also zero-based budgeting, so what's the difference?
b
I find Everydollar to be much more intuitive and user-friendly than YNAB.

I use Monarch and find it very intuitive
no need to watch any courses on how to use it

and great UI and user voting on future features

every UI has some kind of learning curb, and there will always be those that find it more intuitive than others. YNAB's courses are more about understanding it's philosophy which they have have basically boiled down to one principle "make sure each dollar you have (and only the ones you have) have a job" the rest is all about how you decide what job to give
m
YNAB and EveryDollar are definitely the same budgeting method so…
Anyway I am sure there are other good apps out there but there is a lot of power IMO of us all using the same one so we can learn grow and share resources. Also the software we are building will plug in directly to your YNAB to provide insights which might be a good selling point
if you want to know like your averages comapred to other frum people, you’ll need to be on YNAB to plug in

Thanks!

Is it available now—the feature to know your averages compared to other ppl in YNAB?
m
we are getting there slowly, probably early April.
