I got a refund on my CC...I assigned to the my CC's category, but it appears on my CC as outflow? Shouldn't that be inflow as it's paying back some of the card?

You should assign it to the category that the original purchase was from, nothing to do with the credit card. It's not a cc payment.

It should be an outflow because the money is being used to pay your credit card bill so to speak and going back to the category it came from. Same idea as when you make a credit card payment.
