How do you handle transferring money to an off budget account in ynab? I have a HYSA that I didn't bother adding to ynab since I dont use it regularly. I recently transferred some money there from my regular checking account. How should I label this transaction?

"Long term savings" or "Investment" is how I do it. Like every week a put x amount in my brokerage account. So that is a "investment" transaction and I don't track that account in ynab

but because my checking account is linked it's pulling in that transaction when I transferred money

yeah and that transaction should be categorized as "long term saving" when you transfer to your HYSA

I have a similar thing when I send money to and from my biz account. Those accounts aren’t linked, I just categorize them as the bank names and make a ‘work expense’ category to take it from.
