With food prices rising I decided to skip breakfast and lunch today to save money. The fact it's a fast day is completely irrelevant.

Tips I heard recently from someone. Buy as much as possible from non jewish stores. • Chicken at my local groceries is $3.80/lb. At Costco, empire chickens is $2/lb • Eggs are $5-6/dz. At Costco they're about $2/dz (I dont think they're extra large though) • Cheerios are over $7, at target the family size is about $5 (cereals in general are much more expensive at jewish stores) • I've heard aldi's is a good alternative for fruits and vegetables (although they might not always have everything in stock). If the hechsheirim work for you, it can cut your food costs by 25%+

Restaurant Depot hack. We just tried it out for the first time to save money for pesach. If you run a small business you can go and get really low pricing. We just did it for for tomatoes, onions, and more. This is how the onions come 😂😂 Their salmon is 8 dollars a pound

We price matched it, but to buy the machine and find time to do it comes out to boing more. Also the cheese is healthier and way more fresh tasting when shredded by yourself.

A while back someone mentioned about the pre-yom tov bulk ordering. Moadim L'Simcha sent out their info for Pesach orders. The deadline for orders is March 19th. Here's the link to order: https://shop.moadimlsimcha.org/

Sharing this here as an FYI since I just found this out today. If your baby need hypoallergenic formula and the dr is willing to write a prescription, many commercial insurances will cover it. I ran the numbers for myself and it's going to be saving me around 240$ every 2 weeks, so definitely worth it if your baby needs it. You do need to use your providers mail order pharmacy though (i.e express scripts / cvs caremark mail order etc)
