Hey @dry-shampoo-96961 and Archipelago team! Welcome to the Flyte 2.0 beta. I’m Daniel, and I’ll help you get set up. You can always message me and the Flyte team in this channel for support. To get set up, follow these steps (ping me if you run into any trouble): 1. Let me know your cloud provider Depending on if you want your Union cluster on AWS or GCP, the deployment steps we need to take are slightly different. Once you let me know which provider you intend to use, I can arrange the next step. 2. Complete tasks in the Onboarding Portal After you share your cloud provider, we’ll set up a shared Kanban board at the link above where you can input your email and you’ll see some setup tasks. These tasks help us learn about what you are trying to accomplish and give us what we need to get your cluster deployed. 3. Add your teammates to this channel First, share this invite link to add them to the Flyte community. Once they’ve accepted, you can add them directly to this channel. Also, let us know if we should share the above Kanban board with anyone else on the team. 4. Share times for an onboarding call (recommended but optional) Here in Slack, share some time slots that work for an onboarding call. I’ll get you scheduled with a Flyte product leader and they can help you get the most out of this beta. 5. Review the docs • Getting Started Guide • Platform architecture: This beta uses a Bring Your Own Compute (BYOC) model, which gives you ownership and control over the raw data and compute resources. Union provisions and manages all necessary cluster resources via specific permissions you provide us. Once you’ve completed these steps, the Union team will deploy a Union cluster in your compute environment. Please never hesitate to reach out with any questions or feedback. Thanks so much for your partnership! — Daniel

Thanks @victorious-zoo-70738! @clever-rain-55399, not sure if you have access to previously sent messages but let me paste what I sent earlier just in case. Long story short, I'll need your cloud provider to get things rolling 🙂

@acceptable-accountant-9776 we use AWS, and most likely we will setup a new cluster for this, without interfering the operations of existing one.

if you have terraform stack to spinup new cluster with all Flyte requirement (with my previous flyte setup experience, i know there are many) that would be helpful.

Awesome @clever-rain-55399! Per the last message, if you now go to https://onboarding.union.ai/login?customer=true, you'll see the steps necessary to get the AWS cluster set up, with all the doc links. The main thing we need is for you to run a cloudformation stack that will create an admin role which will let us install everything on your account!

@acceptable-accountant-9776 thank you. Any alternative option than opening the account access?

Do you mind expanding on what you are looking for in an ideal situation? Would you prefer that we don't have access to manage the new cluster?
  • c

That would be out preference, if you need access we might have to discuss internally and provision a new aws account. That would contain only this Flyte resources.

If you could start those discussions internally, we'd appreciate that! If anyone needs access to the shared Kanban board to understand the deployment steps, please let me know and I can add them. We are following a model similar to how Union deploys BYOC clusters. This is fairly well documented on the deployment section of our docs as well as this page on AWS specifically. Please let me know your thoughts.

To understand the expectations, i believe it would be ideal if we can meet for 15 or 30 min.
