Breaking: Critical Threats says there is no confirmed evidence that Eritrean troops are fighting Ethiopian forces in Ethiopia — no confirmed incursion, and no satellite proof. The American Enterprise Institute’s Critical Threats Project has been unable to confirm claims that Eritrean troops have increased their presence in Tigray since the fall of Mekelle, or that they are fighting Ethiopian forces there. In its Ethiopia War Security Review of 6 October 2026, Critical Threats said those claims came from Sajid Nadeem, Martin Plaut, UMD Media, and accounts linked to the Ethiopian federal government. https://x.com/eritrean_post/status/2107960677054955522?s=46 It said the sources provided no supporting media or evidence, and reviews of satellite imagery from 3 October showed no corroborating signs of Eritrean deployments or new defensive installations in the areas they named. The reports from Sajid Nadeem, Martin Plaut, UMD Media, and Ethiopian government-linked sources therefore stand as unverified allegations, not established fact. On 7 October, Critical Threats posted on X that it had geolocated alleged images and videos of Eritrean forces to Idaga Hamus, about 12 miles south of Adigrat. In that post it said it cannot verify when the images were taken or the identity of the personnel shown. It added that at least one open-source analyst has assessed that the images are from 2024 or later, after the end of the Tigray war in 2022 — not freshly verified proof of a 2026 incursion or of Eritrean troops fighting Ethiopian forces. Eritrea has rejected the allegations, describing them as an Ethiopian pretext for further conflict. @User

The destabilization of Asmara is a benefit for imperialists as Eritrea is a neutral and anti-imperialist nation in the Horn africa that encourages self-reliance. The masses of Eritrea live better than any nearby country and the nation is developing, the western imperialists see this and get furious which is why they want to destabilize Asmara, this is also a reason why big news outlets like BBC are claiming that Eritrea has invaded Ethiopia which are baseless, stupid, and absurd excuses to try and start a conflict that halts the development of the Eritrean nation. The imperialists have seen that no matter how much sanctions they place on Eritrea, Eritrea won't fold. God bless the Eritrean nation! God bless the martyrs of the nation! Self-reliance is key!

Yo Eritrea chill bruh

We not the middle east😭🙏🏾

Be aware of conflict entrepreneurs like ACLED: @ACLEDINFO report of an unverified Eritrean incursion into Ethiopia is not factually correct: it is led by former Ethiopian 🇪🇹 government lawyer Jalale Getachew, cites no satellite imagery, claims the Ethiopian Air Force hit the Eritrean army, even the American think tank Critical Threats denied these claims, citing no satellite imagery The 7 October alert is led by Dr. Jalale Getachew Birru, a former Ethiopian government lawyer who worked as a public prosecutor and attaché in Ethiopia. She is not an independent researcher. She cites no satellite imagery and names no sources.¹ She claims Eritrean forces crossed at Zalambessa and that Ethiopian drones hit Eritrean troops at Guada.² The Associated Press said it could not verify the account and that ACLED had not explained its basis.³ The American Enterprise Institute’s Critical Threats project said it could not confirm reports of Eritrean forces entering Tigray: its review of satellite imagery from 3 October found no evidence of deployments.⁴ Footnotes 1ACLED staff profile, Jalale Getachew Birru: public prosecutor in Ethiopia, then attaché. 40 2Her 7 October statement, quoted by Martin Plaut: she said ENDF drones targeted Eritrean troops at Guada, inside Ethiopia, not a strike inside Eritrea. She named no source and cited no satellite imagery. 1 3Associated Press: account not independently verified; ACLED did not answer on its sources. 4 4Critical Threats, Ethiopia War Security Review, 6 October 2026: satellite imagery from 3 October showed no confirmed Eritrean deployments. @User https://x.com/eritrean_post/status/2108204617452429610?s=46

Tom Gardner, The Economist’s Africa correspondent, says ACLED is not a reliable source on the Ethiopia–Eritrea situation. The boss of ACLED justified an Ethiopian invasion of Eritrea aimed at the port of Assab, saying the people and the government have 100 reasons to do so. She also claims that the Ethiopian population hated their Tigrayan overlords’ 28-year rule. Keep in mind that ACLED accused Eritrea of entering Ethiopia and provided no evidence (no satellite imagery, even AP News said they couldnt verify the claims) Its East Africa expert is a former Ethiopian government lawyer, Jalale Getachew. #Eritrea #Ethiopia #Egypt https://x.com/eritrean_post/status/2108588729547780418?s=46 @User
