because if its not getting into hive and no display, imo it may be csm mode is turned on and you gotta turn it off

also cmos reset may be in order if this type of stuff is happening randomly to bios but that might just be my experience

I disconnected all gpus and tried it straight to the board to see if that was registering and it wasn't even doing it there. I tried it with one gpu hooked up going directly to the gpu and it did the same

I'd say do a completely fresh HiveOS install on a Flash Drive and try to boot from there. If that doesn't work, we can rule out a decent amount of things

yea thts a good idea, only other things i can think of are try hitting bios hotkey on startup, or maybe cmos reset

I did a fresh hive on a new flash from the beginning. He was running windows. He suggested maybe clearing the hard drive? I know exactly dick about computers so my learning curve is steep.

are you sure it installed correctly? is it on a usb? if so make sure its in a main motherboard slot, make sure to hit the relevant bios hotkey when starting up from there you can verify that more things are working

try a cmos reset as well

also what hard drive does it have? it should only have one drive which is the usb or ssd you put hive os on, reinstalling that may be good to do

Big issues with these is getting a good bios flash on them.

I have been getting invalid shares rather frequently when mining ERGO. It is showing up in HiveOS. Even the number of shares is increasing in some instances. It is happening across a few cards some fairly new gpus, some a bit older. What can I do to prevent invalid shares?

The invalid shares have been happening on Nvidia 3000 series cards, my AMD cards rarely get invalid shares

one of my breakout boards for a server power supply seems to have died even though it has zero signs of failure very strange, i replaced it with an extra (always buy 3 lol) and its working just fine, theres no signs of damage on the broken one and even the standby light works

I seem to be getting more invalid shares in the past month or so. Should I be rebooting my rig as invalid shares accumulate? Any else having this issue?

I'm not getting any invalid shares on my AMD cards - only Nvidia 3000 series. Might look into updating Nvidia drivers if I can. I've updated miner and HiveOS version

Interesting, my amd rigs had this issue for a little while but it stopped happening randomly, it may have had to do with the pool setup, im running my own pool so i can just restart the stratum but maybe changing pool servers would wor otherwise. With nvidia I had the issue that it was dropping to low hashrate randomly I upgraded to nvidia driver: 525.85.05 and since then it has been up for several days at consistent hashrate

I just noticed that HIVEOS deprecated manual fan control pretty quietly. You Need to set fan controls in autofan now if you havent, not sure why tf they would not have a notification about it but either way wanted to let u now
