Stacie — 20/10/2022 The reasons why I have proposed Dubai are: 1. I am physically there and kushti regularly comes, hence, in term of Business development face to face meeting will be more effective than online calls. It gives stronger impression. 2. There are a lot of head offices of big crypto companies here, for example, Binance. And there are plenty of conferences and forums in Dubai related to crypto. 3. The environment itself is crypto friendly and constantly growing. 4. In long term prospective, the entity in Dubai will have stronger power and greater potential. morphic — 20/10/2022 I think we can fallback to El Salvador option if Dubai doesn't work for us. For international business (which we want to do) Dubai is more established jurisdiction and we should try open EF entity AND bank account there. And I think the key point, is having an account with IBAN, not the entity itself. So, we need to find a lawyer partner which will be able to do it as a package (entity + account), the lawyer who knows how to overcome limitations and can help with bank application for account opening. morphic — 20/10/2022 EF don't need yet another entity without bank account Stacie — 20/10/2022 That’s true Stacie — 26/10/2022 I have spoken with a representative of one local bank in Dubai - Dubai Islamic Bank and he said that there are no issues with opening a corporate account for the company where one of owners is a Russian passport holder. morphic — 26/10/2022 It seems no obstacles to go ahead. Please create a proposal for the formal voting.

Been unsuccessfully trying to get admin access to ergoforum off @kushti via DMs/voice for a while now so trying this to see if it's more successful. Would allow me to - Autopost forum topics to Discord/Telegram. ie Mining forum -> Mining chats. Will help activity there and making sure q's don't go unanswered. Also can auto-post new topics from the EF sections along with reminders. - Promoting EF officers so they can participate in EF discussions - Modelling the forum after something like NEAR governance forum https://gov.near.org/ see https://www.ergoforum.org/t/revival-of-ergo-forum/ If you'd rather I set up a new discourse for governance then please let me know. my username is

Dealing with some ERGOHACK drama, few projects (somewhat rightfully) annoyed that judging wasn't fair. We have 3 teams tied for 4th place (ergo-audit, snips, satergo). Thinking it's maybe worth while giving them some extra erg to keep them happy (and developing and writing research papers for fun:)). Thoughts @User ? And if give to Sigmanauts we should make sure they also aware of sensitivities of selling them. Will be significant % of total outstanding tokens for the initial period! > I will confirm a few details with Yasha on the seed round vesting etc and come up with something and propose it. Might be a little delayed though because so much going on this week. Of course others could also come up with proposals. I am wary myself of making it too complicated though! > Can also add in a term where we sell SPF faster if ERG price $5 say 24 vs 36 months. Cuz we would need the money less. mhs_sam — 14/12/2022 08:25 > I agree with the whole plan with a few notes: > - More than everything you mentioned, it's important to make it a good example for other projects. So, in the future more project be willing to assign some tokens to EF. You said it implicitly however. > - by selling, you probably mean converting to Erg? > - Potentially, we can do a combination of strategies to liquidate. For example, we can use different strategies for each 25% of tokens: > -- a regular weekly liquidation in 1-2 years (regardless of price or need) > -- AMM with Erg / Defi options like bonds / grid > -- being validator in their network (idk, if possible) > -- paying salaries and rewards (for example we can pay EF rewards with SPF while Erg price is <5) > -- reserve for better prices and occasional liquidation and even buying back in lower prices. or like what you said, selling slower/faster in different conditions based on price/need.

Warwick (CW) — 05/12/2022 21:53 > HI all. Time for Ergohack VI! > Date: Feb 8 - 22 (2 weeks) > Prize Pool: 18k SigUSD (TBC) > Judging: Feb 22 - Mar 1 > Announce winners: Mar 2 at weekly AMA > There have been a number of suggestions and ideas put forth for topics of upcoming Hackathons and would like to discuss what we, as the EF, would like to see be the focus for ErgoHack VI. > Ideas include (to name a few): > Oracles and DeFi > Education, Tutorials and Documentation > Green Button Solutions > Sigma Protocols and ZKPs > Grassroots Finance > Arbitrage/Trading Bots and Off-Chain Solutions > Hack/Harden Current Projects > My suggestion for ErgoHack VI is Oracles and Defi. Pending Oracle v2 release, building use and utility around the oracle framework and DeFi utilizing such oracles and open to discuss ideas > I've also put together an indicative 2023 event calendar which will be updated throughout the year https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/140OAKJ1vXxB8tLrg_pxxht0vI2xRzyNstyyXE6tFwd0/edit#gid=43751550 Justin — 06/12/2022 01:48 > I also recommend Oracles and DeFi: > -Oracles absolutely key to real world use of DeFi and financial products building on Ergo. > -Oracles v2 coming out is perfect time to get everyone focused on them and making them as robust as possible ASAP as are key building block for all the things to come next. > -If we want to scale DeFi products on Ergo to hundreds of millions and billions in single products, will need to have builders and users fully confident in the Oracles. > -So if we can convince businesses and finance/DeFi experts that Ergo oracles are robust then goes a long way to convincing them things like SigmaUSD and Dexy-Gold are robust and the infinite other products they can build on Ergo will also be robust. > The Bitmex guy I talked to said didn’t believe in any stable coins right now because of all the crap that has happened. So things like this help address that.

Justin — 09/10/2022 10:06 > I want to give my periodic reminder of importance of Chinese community. I was reminded to do this when I saw how extremely active the Chinese telegram group was leading up to the Merge. Seemed at some times to have even more messages than on the English telegram. Eva has done a fantastic job and the telegram seems all to be real people she transferred over from wechat and other places when the regulations changed. Moreover, the telegram is just one group of many. > And ERG is mainly listed on Chinese-related exchanges with Gate.io tending to be biggest volume. So please keep in mind the importance of Chinese community. Here is update Eva has done which includes basic social media metrics. > We have a great base in China that can easily explode much more if Ergo gets more popular. Eva is really disappointed we did not continue the partnership with Jinse. I am going to give 100 of my ERGs to Tongtong there who helped us a lot. I think if ERG price goes back up, we should see if we can get the partnership going again. Probably going to have to pay more than the great deal they offered last time though. > By the way, Jinse is still operating normally despite most all other crypto media being shut down. Could be govt cleaned up space last year or so but is allowing a few exchanges and media groups to be active to keep involved in the industry in a controlled way. Okex seems likely to be their most favored exchange. > Jinse management shifted too last year as we touched on before. Probably Jinse is most favored media. Some element of speculation here though. For China, Eva thinks is #1 exchange to target. I am not sure if we still have any contact there or ongoing discussion now that Shirley left. Eva’s theory is OKEX is tacitly allowed by government to operate a bit more freely than others. For example, she says its wechats have not been shut off. So maybe like Jinse, they will be able to keep going strong.
