Is there a flag I can pass to the CLI after a
dbt build -s ….
command which would disable the on-run-end hook for that run?
k
Yes! You can pass vars directly on the CLI to disable the on-run-end hooks for a specific run. For example:
dbt build -s <your_selection> --vars '{"disable_dbt_artifacts_autoupload": true}'
If you want to disable all Elementary hook activity for that run, combine the relevant vars:
dbt build -s <your_selection> --vars '{"disable_dbt_artifacts_autoupload": true, "disable_run_results": true, "disable_tests_results": true, "disable_dbt_invocation_autoupload": true}'
Here's what each var controls: •
disable_dbt_artifacts_autoupload
– disables metadata artifact uploads (models, tests, sources, etc.) •
disable_run_results
– disables model execution result uploads •
disable_tests_results
– disables test result uploads •
disable_dbt_invocation_autoupload
– disables dbt invocation metadata uploads [CLI vars docs; reduce on-run-end time] > Note: Disabling these hooks means Elementary won't record data for that run, which may affect the completeness of your reports and monitoring. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @elementary.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
