@kapa.ai Is elementary compatible with dbt fusion ?
k
Yes. Elementary’s dbt package is compatible with dbt-fusion starting from version
0.20
of the package, and dbt-fusion support is currently in beta. [dbt Fusion OSS; dbt package 0.20.0] Key points: • You must use Elementary dbt package version ≥ 0.20.0. [dbt package 0.20.0] • Core features supported with Fusion: anomaly detection tests, schema tests, and artifacts collection. [dbt Fusion OSS] • Some capabilities are not yet supported with Fusion (e.g., Python tests, JSON schema tests, and features missing from dbt-fusion itself like exposure/group artifacts and some artifact fields). [dbt Fusion OSS; Missing features] Also note that both dbt-fusion and Elementary’s Fusion support are in beta, so you may encounter edge cases. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @elementary.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.

@kapa.ai even for freshness checks ?
k
Partially, with an important limitation. Elementary’s Fusion integration is in beta and supports anomaly tests, schema tests, and artifact collection, but dbt-fusion itself currently does not report source freshness results, so Elementary cannot get them either. [dbt Fusion OSS; Missing features Fusion] Specifically, “*Source freshness results are not reported*” is listed as a missing feature in dbt-fusion, which means freshness checks won’t be available to Elementary when you run with Fusion. [Missing features Fusion] So: Elementary works with dbt-fusion, but freshness checks are not supported yet under Fusion due to this upstream limitation. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @elementary.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
