@kapa.ai why does my elementary results query in the elementary dashboard always have from (None) ?
k
This is a known Elementary issue: the “Result query” shown in the HTML dashboard can contain
FROM (None)
and is effectively useless right now. The problem is with how the UI generates/displays that query, not with your own configuration. [Result query None; Volume alerts None] Support has explicitly said to “please don’t pay attention to the query presented in the UI” for these anomaly/volume tests; the real anomaly logic runs correctly behind the scenes, but the UI doesn’t show the actual SQL. [Volume alerts None] So: • Your tests can still be running correctly even though the Result query shows
None
. • There is no documented configuration fix; it’s a product bug/limitation in the report. • To debug failures, you currently need to rely on dbt/Elementary logs or re‑run the failing test manually, rather than using the copied Result query. [Result query None] The knowledge sources don’t mention a released fix yet, only that it’s a known issue. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @elementary.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
