@kapa.ai Is it possible to show in slack alerts the results as table instead of a json? What are the limitations if there are any of the table view?

Hey @Lukas Steger! Searching the Elementary knowledge base, normally takes around 15 seconds 😊 Feel free to ask a follow-up question once I've answered by mentioning me with @kapa.ai
Yes, Elementary does support showing test result samples as a table in Slack alerts, but with specific limitations. Table Format Support As of v0.17.0, test result samples can be displayed as a table block in Slack alerts. [v0.17.0 release] Limitations The table format is only shown under these conditions: 1. Test type: It is presented as a table for all tests except anomaly tests. [table conditions] 2. Number of columns: The sample must have 4 or fewer columns. If the sample has more than 5 columns, it falls back to JSON format. [column limit] Column Width Issue Even in table format, column widths are fixed and permanent, which can cause values to be cut off. There is currently no configuration option to control column width or force a specific output format (e.g., CSV vs. JSON). This is something the Elementary team is actively exploring. [column width discussion] Controlling the Number of Sample Rows You can control how many sample rows are saved and displayed using the
test_sample_row_count
flag. See the Elementary FAQ for details. [sample row count] In summary: table view is supported but only for non-anomaly tests with 4 or fewer columns in the sample. For wider datasets, you'll currently get JSON output. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button â„šī¸ Tip: Mention @elementary.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
