@kapa.ai, can I just get alert summary in elementary in text/md format, and so send it where I want (not in slack/ms teams) ?

Based on the available knowledge sources, Elementary's built-in alerting and reporting features are primarily designed for Slack and, more recently, Microsoft Teams. There is no official support for outputting alert summaries directly in plain text or markdown (md) format for arbitrary destinations out-of-the-box. However, there are a few relevant points: - You can disable the HTML report attachment and only send the summary to Slack using the
--disable html_attachment
flag, but this summary is still sent via Slack, not as a generic text or markdown output for other channels. There is no documented CLI flag or configuration to output the summary in text or markdown to stdout or a file for custom routing [Slack summary discussion](https://slack.com/archives/C02CTC89LAX/p1676562856184309). - Some users have requested support for other channels (like email, Google Chat, Lark, etc.), and there are ongoing community efforts and discussions about making the alerting system more extensible, including via webhooks or APIs. There is mention of a refactor to make new integrations easier, and some community members have contributed webhook-based solutions, but these are not yet standard features [Google Chat integration issue](https://github.com/elementary-data/elementary/issues/1789), [Webhook PR](https://github.com/elementary-data/elementary/pull/1817). - As a workaround, some users have queried the Elementary schema directly and built their own alerting pipelines (e.g., with Airflow or GitHub Actions) to send notifications elsewhere, but this requires custom development and does not provide a ready-made summary in markdown or text [Email alert discussion](https://slack.com/archives/C02CTC89LAX/p1683597421726199). Summary: Elementary does not currently provide a built-in way to output alert summaries in plain text or markdown format for arbitrary destinations. The only supported summary output is via Slack (and Teams), and while you can disable the HTML attachment, the summary itself is not available as a generic export. For other channels, you would need to build a custom integration or contribute to the ongoing community efforts to expand alerting options.
