I am trying to run edr report and getting the following error. The command being executed is
edr report --project-dir . --profiles-dir .
I am working using the package elementary-data[athena]

Seems like we encountered the same issue 😂.

Hey! Looking into it. Were either of you able to run Elementary before with a different version? @Vaisakh Mohan What CLI version are you currently using?
It seems that there's a change in Athena engine 3 that's causing this error. Athena now enforces millisecond precision (
timestamp(3)
) by default, while the data contains timestamps with microsecond precision (
timestamp(6)
). Our Athena integration is a contribution, let me try reaching out to the contributor to see if he's willing to make these adjustments. If you're interested that's also a good option 🙂

Hey @Vaisakh Mohan @Zach Chang! We're on fixing the Athena integration for the latest versions (and Elementary Cloud). We'll be happy to have you two to test it before we release, please reach out if you're interested!
Hey! Happy to share that we fixed the Athena integration. Check it out with Elementary dbt package 0.18.2 and CLI 0.18.1 🙌 Let us know how it goes.
