Hey All, blob wave I started to use Elementary recently for monitoring our data. Looks like hit a road block.
version: 2
models:
- name: test_volume_Changes
tests:
- elementary.volume_anomalies:
timestamp_column: last_modified_dtm
where_expression: "is_deleted = 'TRUE'"
anomaly_direction: spike
detection_period:
period: week
count: 2
time_bucket:
period: week
count: 2
config:
# optional - change severity
severity: warn
Above is the test I'm using to check if there's any spike increase in my table for 'is_deleted = True' records and warn/error if thats the case.

Hey @Rishi Varahagiri 👋🏼 Is the model named
test_volume_Changes
?
r
Yep @Noy Arie
n
Can you check if you have
data_monitoring_metrics
under the Elementary schema?
Also, which package version are you using?
r
DATA_MONITORING_METRICS is present. Looks like I had to run dbt elementary package first. I ran that and it worked. However I have got few doubts in the query. I'm using 0.14.0 I guess
And @Noy Arie: My requirement is to alert if the spike in data increase by 10% week over week would that be possible using above test ?
n
Yes, this should from what I understand. You can read more about the test here, and about the params here 🙂
