Hi <!channel> ๐Ÿ‘‹ As we continue enhancing Elementary, a large part of our journey is talking to our amazing users ๐Ÿ› ๏ธโœจdrop stoked From time to time we will write here and ask for your input on some key areas. This time around we want to hear your thoughts about: 1. ๐ŸŒฟ Elementary freshness and event freshness tests 2. ๐Ÿ“Š dbt docs or other data cataloging solutions 3. ๐Ÿงช Anomaly tests setup process and learning curve If you've got something interesting to share on any of these topics, please reach out to us here on slack (me, @Hadar Sagiv, @Or Avidov, @Maayan Salom or anyone else from the team) or schedule a short chat with me. Your insights are so important to us and we really appreciate your cooperation! ๐Ÿ™Œ Let's make Elementary even better together! ๐ŸŒˆ

We are running DBT with Elementary on a multi-tenant approach, on the 2nd dot, it would be awesome to support muti-tenant report summary aggregation somehow. Having elementary "atomic" reports on each tenant, and then a way to gather all of them in a super view.

Thanks @Albert Franzi! If you'd like to elaborate a little about your use case feel free to DM me or schedule a call, we are looking into that area as well

1. It would be great if elementary included dbt source freshness as "Freshness" test validations in their dashboard. 2. dbt docs lineage is more flexibel in selecting x numbers of down or upstream models. 3. This is hard, especially in certain models being aggregated on a monthly level. I feel like there should be some place were different type of examples should be available to look at and possibly mimic.

Hi @Christopher Ekfeldt, thanks for replying ๐Ÿ™‚ The first 2 items you mentioned are in our roadmap already! Re (3), I would love to hear more- would you be willing to schedule a short chat with me in this link?
r
We should have volume anomalies with group by column
e
@Ram did you try our dimension anomalies?
r
Nope just saw example , does it meant group by event_type ? That means anomalies based on each event type ?
elementary.dimension_anomalies:
          dimensions:
event_type
country_name
e
@Ram yes exactly
r
Nice , will try it and let you know
@Ella Katz I have DM you
So issue we cannot SUM of the column value based on group by column over period of time
