Hi team, I have an error when deploying Datahub. I run

datahub docker quickstart

in the terminal and this error shows up

Error response from daemon: driver failed programming external connectivity on endpoint datahub-gms (c7259513a4f59fb2e360eab2377b0ee38fce02b0f111b69e57eb22ad843d2411): Bind for 0.0.0.0:8080 failed: port is already allocated

. I restarted the docker but it still same error. i am using mac M1. Does anyone have any idea why and how can fix it? Thanks in advance🙂

It appears that you are already running some application port 8080. I typically use

lsof -ti :8080

to find out the process id using the port.

Another alternative is to use a different port for GMS (if you can not use 8080 due to some reason. All you would need is to set env var

DATAHUB_MAPPED_GMS_PORT

with the new port, before running quickstart command. See the section "Port Conflicts" o this page - https://datahubproject.io/docs/quickstart/#troubleshooting-issues for more details.

Unable to run quickstart - the following issues were detected:

- datahub-gms is still starting

- mysql-setup is still running

- datahub-upgrade is still running

different issues . I would say its a progress 😉 could you try below commands in same sequence: (This is a typical restart hack. We can go deeper if this does not work)

datahub docker nuke

datahub docker quickstart

say ? If its not latest(0.10.0.2), Do you mind upgrading to latest version (

pip install -U acryl-datahub

) and trying the set of commands mentioned earlier ?

that's insane. I just tried this on my machine and it worked. I am not on M1 mac, though. can you wait for some time and confirm the status by running

datahub docker check
