Hello everyone, we at QUIPU are exploring options for data virtualization through the integration of an active data catalog (datahub) and ontology modeling to seamlessly generate schema mappings (EX: R2RML mappings when the data source is a SQL DB, which currently could be achieved through ontop via direct source db connection but could be more seamless with an integration to a data catalog). Also looking for a provision to export the catalog’s metadata in RDF format. Please advise or suggest any pointers. Thanks.

Hey @stocky-controller-42689 we don't have a great way currently to export the metadata in RDF format. Would love to understand how you would want to model it based on the ER model that DataHub has today.

Hello @mammoth-bear-12532, we will look into the link provided and get back to you. Initially, we ingested glossary terms from an ontology and mapped them to various fields in the catalog using YAML file as this could be done programmatically. Our thought process is to build a map between the fields in the catalog to vocabulary/taxonomy & ontology as we do to glossary terms currently. This could help us build the mappings programmatically which is a crucial component in data virtualization.
