Silly question but if running ingestion through CLI and using docker with localhost:8080 as sink, why can I not see the UI for the metadata I ingested from BQ?

Can you clarify what you mean by:

Are you expecting to see the Ingestion Run itself in the UI under the UI ingestion tab? Or are your datasets/other entities not showing up in the UI?

After running

datahub ingest -c recipe.yml

I thought I would be able to see Datahub at localhost:8080

DataHub ingest does not deploy DataHub. To deploy DataHub you would want to run

datahub docker quickstart
