Hello guys, iam trying to ingest Athena metadata with Datahub v0.9.5 and i catch this error, when occur ingesting stuck running forever. Anyone can help me?

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Incorrect string value: '\\xE2\\x8F\\xB3 Pi...' for column 'metadata' at row 1

Haven’t seen this one before! Does it happen reliably or was it a one-off error? If possible, could you try writing the metadata to a file sink and sending a (redacted) copy of the problematic portions?

Solved by removing

characterEncoding=UTF-8

from the SQL connection that's documented here for setting up Datahub to use AWS RDS: https://datahubproject.io/docs/deploy/aws/

cc @brainy-tent-14503 - can you confirm if removing the

characterEncoding=UTF-8

piece is the best solve here, and maybe update our docs if they need tweaking
