Hi team, Does datahub CLI support testing connections to other resources? If so, What script I need to execute?
b
Happy new year! What would you like to test? and to what resource? You can set a
file
a sink, so it won't ingest the metadata to datahub only to a file, which can be used to test connection to sources without ingesting data.

To add to what Peter mentioned, some DataHub sources support testing connection without extracting all metadata. You can execute below DataHub CLI command to test connection for them.
datahub ingest -c <recipe>.yml --test-source-connection --report report.json

@hundreds-photographer-13496 10x 1. The flag is
--report-to
🙂 2. I’ve tried it from my local, but got the following error:
Copy code
{
  "internal_failure": "True",
  "internal_failure_reason": "Source redshift-usage in library version 0.9.5 does not support test connection functionality."
}
DataHub CLI version: 0.9.5
Python version: 3.10.6 (main, Aug 30 2022, 05:12:36) [Clang 13.1.6 (clang-1316.0.21.2.5)]
I also can do it from
datahub-action
for lack of permission(no sudo, can’t create recipe) I’ve managed to solve it in the console. Now facing secret keys issue 🙂
