(I asked the same question in #getting-started but maybe the appropriate place is here? I do not want to be spamming the channel w/ questions. Still, w/ all due apologies, I ask here, too). Can I have my own custom entities if I use datahub-as-a-service (after "ingesting" them)? Or do I have, in that case, to use the "pre-packaged" ones only?

Hi! So we support extending the model (even at runtime), but you won't be able to ingest an entity of a type until that type exists in the system: https://datahubproject.io/docs/metadata-modeling/extending-the-metadata-model/

@orange-night-91387 thank you. I have read (most) of these documents. I know I can create new entities etc/deploy them in my k8s cluster. However, if I were to use "datahub-as-service" (saw that option on website) - then it is datahub/acryl k8s cluster - not mine - so I only get whatever is there, correct?
(maybe I am asking at the wrong place/the wrong people - if so, apologies)

Each customer instance is isolated so we can still deploy with your custom models on your instance 🙂 cc: @loud-island-88694
