Is it just me or is the lineage from Tableau set up in reverse. I have a datasource used by a dashboard which is build up of a range of charts. So the hierarchy should be:

Datasource -&gt; Dashboard -&gt; Charts.

However, in DataHub they have swapped the charts and dashboard around. Is this a mistake or is there a reason i may have overlooked? A chart can only be part of one dashboard so it should always appear downstream from the dashbaord.

DataHub's lineage for BI tools (Looker, Mode, Redash, Tableau, PowerBI) always first goes from Dataset -&gt; Chart / Tile -&gt; Dashboard / Report.

Since the Chart / Tile is the atomic unit of data viz.. and the Dashboard is usually a collection of Charts / Tiles to create a single board.

You might want to ask this question specifically on the Tableau integration in the <#C02GBGG90CU|integration-tableau-datahub> channel to see if other Tableau folks agree with what seems normal.
