10/11/2021, 6:44 PMHi All, Currently on the lineage view if the dataset names are long, there should be options to have wordwrap or tooltip.. without those two, making sense out of the lineage becomes clunky as one may need to click on each dataset to view their complete names to understand lineage..

10/11/2021, 7:09 PMIn the absence of a notion of true authoritative data sources, lineage view helps our business users by providing 'some' confidence that the data at the point of consumption is truly being sourced from where they intended for it to be sourced from... it also helps developers and analysts in the org so they don't create redundant or trivial pipelines/datasets..

10/13/2021, 2:24 AM@green-football-43791 can I help to get the tooltips in to start with? Also, in this picture, Dataset is a little too generic.. ideally it would be nice to be able show if an entity is a table, view, file etc.. Are there thoughts around that?

10/13/2021, 5:09 PMI agree- about the view/file/table etc--- actually there's been some recent work on how to incorporate that type of metadata into the lineage viz. Completely agree we should take datahub in that sort of direction.
