• Ease of extending the model
• Ease of using APIs outside of the datahub project(i.e. push based libraries)
• Existing integrations with BI/ETL tooling
• Open source Roadmap aligning with our vision for data governance/discovery
• Great community
• Adding new sources is much simpler
• Architecture is easier to understand
We were only considering open source projects: Amundsen, OpenMetadata, and Datahub FWIW
