You need to ingest metadata to see the categories.

Hmm- this is unexpected. A few default entities should show up. Did you see this repeatedly @red-pizza-28006? Or just on the first load? I wonder if an API call just timed out 🤔

yeah this was every time when i did not have any datasets. I am not so sure about this choice, since it gave an impression of something wrong with the UI

I deployed by the first time during the las weekend, same feeling here 😃. Also just wanted to work with glossary terms so was looking for a method to add elements from the frontend.

i liked the previous version where we had some empty clickable elements in the UI. 🙂

@billions-twilight-48559 currently the recommended way to load up biz glossary terms is via an ingestion source pointing to a YAML file where the glossary is declared
@red-pizza-28006 what if we put a better empty state here that says ‘ no metadata ingested yet ‘ and links out to resources about how to ingest?
Would that be better? We think that having empty cards that lead to nowhere is maybe a worse experience. And some companies don’t even use all the entities so we didn’t want to show all of them on the home page

i think clearly stating that there is no metadata ingested yet, and having no cards would be a much better experience
