Hello Team, we are currently running into an issue when ingesting a mysql db with limited profiling. Here is the error we are seeing (db and table names have been changed for security reasons):
'db.table': ["Profiling exception (pymysql.err.OperationalError) (1046, 'No database selected')\n"
'[SQL: CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE ge_temp_b7535ba0 AS SELECT * \n'
                                             'FROM db.table \n'
                                             ' LIMIT 100]\n'
'(Background on this error at: <http://sqlalche.me/e/13/e3q8)>']
Please note that in our ingestion recipe we do not specify a db name since there are multiple dbs at this source. When not profiling and only ingesting it works perfectly and ingests all of the dbs at the source. Looking to find a fix that will allow us to ingested with limited profiling and not have to specify the db as we want it to profile all of the dbs.

@gray-shoe-75895, did we not fix this issue already?
g
My bet is that the limit and offset parameters are causing issues
@helpful-optician-78938 probably makes sense to disable or hide those options until we can fix them across sources
h
Do you think it is not related to the alchemy url since the error is reporting that no database is selected?
b
Currently in the recipe only the limit parameter is being used and not the offset parameter
We have some more findings related to this issue. If we add a db name to the recipe and run the file it profiles all of the dbs on the server. This is fine for our use case since we want it to profile all dbs but seems like a bug since I only specify one db name in the recipe.
