Hello, team. How to use custom aspects in python ingestion? i am look to entities classes and they have restriction for aspects (only list of default aspects)
c
yes, but this don't seems native. I mean i should create entity by default workunit wrapper and after that add custom aspect? Is this the only way ?
s
What do you mean by "doesn't seem native"?
when you send a aspect for an entity the entity would get registered in datahub. As long as there is 1 aspect
c
I mean i can't create entity with all aspects in one step. I can only create main part of entity via workunit wrapper (i mean all default aspects) and then send my custom aspect ?
s
you can send your aspects one by one and they will be registered

@colossal-easter-99672: the new recommended way is the `MCP`pathway which avoids the monolithic MCE schema
this shows you an example of constructing the
upstreamLineage
aspect and sending it via MCP
you will see many examples of this pattern showing up in all our sources
