Hi, is there a way to automatically ingest table and column description of a SQL Server database in datahub? I'm trying to do so but description field always comes null value...

We use sqlalchemy to get the description and then it seems like it does not support getting descriptions for mssql 😞

The extended properties in SQL Server comes in a system table catalog called

sys.extended_properties

. Usually this info come in a property called

MS_Description

. How could us (me and @flaky-airplane-82352) contribute with the community to retrieve those properties?

@dazzling-judge-80093 can sqlalchemy be used to get description from Hive?
