hi,team。For consanguinity, we currently use a single table as the entry to query whether we plan to have a function similar to a panorama, with the panorama of consanguinity as the home page, and then expand it again
i
Hello Dongk, Can you clarify your question/doubt?
c
@incalculable-ocean-74010 thank you,I want to ask if there is a planned blood relationship panorama? At present, they are deployed for specific models
i
What do you mean with blood relationship panorama?
Are you talking about metadata modelling?
At present, they are deployed for specific models
What models are you referring to?
I don’t understand the image…
Are you talking about DataHub’s metadata model? https://datahubproject.io/docs/metadata-modeling/metadata-model
c
@incalculable-ocean-74010 'm sorry I didn't express myself very well
i
By blood relationship do you mean lineage?
Click on “Visualize Lineage” to get a diagram view
c
yeah,i mean lineage,Click on “Visualize Lineage” to get a diagram view 。This is just a Lineage relationship starting from one of my model, want to directly show the relationship of all models Lineage
i
So you want a Relationship diagram containing all datasets? For that you need to make sure that all models are connected. This depends on your metadata and then from any such model expand both upstream and downtream as much as possible in the lineage view.
c
thankyou yeah,i want a relationship diagram containing all datasets。I hope to have such a page as the home page of Lineage relationship。
What do you mean is If the relationship is rich enough, I can still expand it according to one node
i
Yes
c
Do we plan to make such a lineage-relationship-page as the entrance of blood relationship
i
I don’t think there is any plan to do that. It would be extremely expensive and heavy on DataHub’s graph database with limited benefit. For largish relationship graphs (>10k+ relationship) it would be almost impossible to render in the UI efficiently. Beyond the technical challenges there are also UX concerns, with a graph so large it’s also hard to extract anything useful from it.
c
Thank you. There is such a problem as you said. For a huge relationship
