Another question: As a user I can't see glossary entries without providing edit permission for the glossary entries. Is this a bug or do I miss some settings?

hey Uwe! what version of datahub are you on? when we first released the updated business glossary feature we had one permission (
MANAGE_GLOSSARIES
) that would control if you saw the glossary button at the top of the page as well as edit permissions etc. We have since removed that requirement in order to go see the glossary so that everyone should be able to see. Then only users with MANAGE_GLOSSARIES will be able to add / edit / delete

Hi Chris, thanks for the response. We're using v0.8.43. So, do I understand you correctly that a permission denied should not occure? To provide some more context: The user can see the glossary structure (Term Groups) and the content of the groups but when he clicks on one of the entries (or go there via the search function) he gets a permission denied.
Seems like as soon as the url contains urnliglossaryTerm (and not urnliglossaryNode) the permission denied error shows up.

if you don't select a resource type in the top bar, that then selects all entity types and then you can set that to apply to all users if you want

Great, that worked. Yes, we had removed the default policies to restrict edit permissions. Obviously we removed a bit to many default policies.

nice! gotcha, makes sense
