Hi all, Is there an option to filter out the following with the Tableau ingestion: • Embedded Data Source • View • Custom SQL 10x in advance, Eyal

Hey @crooked-holiday-47153 can you be a bit more specific ? Do you want to exclude ingesting these ?
Hi, did you find what you are looking for ?

Hi @hundreds-photographer-13496, Yes, I meant to exclude ingesting these. I haven't managed to resolve this yet. 10x, Eyal

Hi @crooked-holiday-47153 this is not possible at the moment. one thing you can do it to delete these resources after they are ingested. Specifically datasets of platform "tableau" with subtype "Embedded Data Source" or "Custom SQL". However that may lead to missing lineage edges. Can you explain why you want to do so ? Were you hoping to short-circuit the edges going though "Embedded Data Source" or "Custom SQL" ?

Hi @hundreds-photographer-13496, Since this data is exposed to all users working with DataHub we wanted to clear out information that doesn't bring the users any value (since its internal) and can only cause confusion when available in the search results.
h
hmm.. do you also use Published Data sources ?
c
@hundreds-photographer-13496 yep The current workaround we are using is to map the container (=Tableau workbook) to a domain and direct our users filter the domain they want and view the dashboards only - this way the non relevant objects do exists but are hidden once the filters are selected.
